Unrequited Love? Not Quite.
Here's a thought that's been on my mind all day: Valentine's Day, the day of the year we traditionally dub the most romantic, is far from it. Rather, I would think that the day which served as the fulcrum for the greatest romance ever, the day Christ died on the cross to redeem His beloved bride, is the day that Christians should celebrate as the most romantic. We don't often see it as such, yet that is one facet of the gospel story that we forget. That is a shame, for the gospel story is a beautiful tale of passionate love and infinite sacrifice, and is one that should not go unrequited!
