Hanabata Wiped Away
We're getting old. Every single time I talk to Boss, no matter what, we end up talking about the things that used to be a constant in life but are no longer a reality, and what's more, never will be a reality again. In words more familiar, the Hanabata Days. KC Drive Inn, the left turn off of Ala Moana Boulevard into Kewalo's, the old location downstairs location of T&C at Ala's, or the infamous 7's by Panya. What's funny is that a lot of the places we're missing now were once the same things that were new for our parents, recently-come intrusions replacing other familiarities that, for them, represented the old and comfortable memories of their childhood and formative years.
